Dear PSV Member:
On February 5th, the PSV Board voted to approve joining the National Federation of State Poetry Societies (NFSPS). On February 10th, 2026, the Board of Directors of the NFSPS unanimously voted to approve our admission. I am excited to announce that, as a result of this, PSV members are now eligible for a number of new benefits!
To highlight a few: PSV members may enter the 50 NFSPS 2026 Contests at the Member rate, which is $1/poem in 49 categories, with a maximum fee of $10! The 50th category, Founders, has a higher fee, because members may submit up to four (4) poems for $5/poem.
Another benefit is for our students, who have contests in grades 3-12, which are free to enter! The final and very exciting benefit is for our Spoken Word/Slam members, who are now eligible to compete at the NFSPS Convention. The BlackBerry Peach National Poetry Slam is the sole qualifier for the U.S. representative at the World Poetry Slam hosted by WPSO.
