Anxiety Attack

You are just talking with a friend,

Everything is fine.

But then you start to think,

What if it’s not?

Thoughts now spiraling,

You begin to feel uncomfortable.

Still, you try to keep talking,

But your mind is talking louder than you.

All choked up,

Barely able to speak.

Your friend asks if your ok,

“Yeah don’t worry about it,” you say in a shaky voice.

As you walk away breathing gets harder,

Quick, short breaths.

Heart pounding,

It’s beating so loud you can hear it.

And finally,

The tears.

They roll down your cheeks with great force,

All you can do is sit their and wait it out.
