Double Life

In life, I've been forced to be a person that I'm not,

I've been forced to make

fake friends, fake interest, fake personalities, fake everything.

And everything I've done is fake, nothing’s real.

This whole situation has been manufactured so that I won't be alone,

and I’ve forgotten who I was and who I am

That's what happens.

I continually am who and what I'm told to be,

and it collapses my intricate web of lies and deceit.

Then people find out who and what I was hellbent on destroying,

and then I start to change. At first, it’s good changes, then the bad,

and then the person that I’ve stridden to become

And that's what happens when everything in my life

has to lead a double life.
